Ever since I got it I haven’t felt right. My doctor said it’s the best one because it only releases hormones in the uterus and not the whole body like the others. But I literally had a mental breakdown about a week after I just snapped, I bleed for like 3 months, and everytime after sex. I started withholding sex because it became miserable and my period stopped for about 2 months and when we finally had sex again I got the worst period ever that same night. Haven’t felt like that since high school even my back is out(and not from sex🙃). Idk if all this is normal but I’m thinking of getting it removed. My only problem is this was my last option really my partner is pretty reckless and I can not have another baby😭 3 under 4 I’m tapped out.

I wouldn't say I regretted mine, but I wouldn't get it again... it fucked with my sex drive and I hated it

Do u have iud in you vag or arm?
I hated the vag as during sex was so uncomfortable an same for period the arm is Alot better an no issues at all but I am talking to an Ob about removing it an getting fixed

I hated when it was placed and hated when it was removed. It worked great, but it mentally and physically affected me when it was placed and removed had it for 10 years never again. Mines was the vag

IUD worked well for me until it became crooked somehow and started causing my cervix to cramp pretty bad which led to painful sex as well. Several docs tried to gaslight me by saying it’s impossible to feel your cervix or for it to cramp, so I left it in until I couldn’t handle it anymore. Took it out and the cramps went away immediately and so did the painful sex. Absolutely trust your body! But also hope you can find a better birth control option🤞

With my non hormonal iud I had very bad pain during sex, no mood changes but mine was the copper non hormonal one. I agree with above i also got gaslighted saying that we couldn't feel our cervix. Even though after going through pregnancy and labor, dilation checks, the ring of fire, yeah, it's not just something that is numb. As soon as I got it taken out sex became painless and much more enjoyable.
