Keep forgetting I’m pregnant

I am 15+3 and I keep forgetting I’m pregnant and don’t feel pregnant as I don’t have any symptoms that are typical. Is this normal? I’ve got a bump now but it still doesn’t feel real to me yet.

I was the same at this stage so you aren’t alone! For me personally I think it was a bit of a protective measure of my brain not wanting to get attached/get my hopes up after a loss, but I think it’s also just a very bizarre concept for anyone to get their head around suddenly having a baby in there!

If you’re worried you aren’t connecting though definitely mention it to your midwife and they can always refer for some talking therapy if you think that could help. I had the referral in place but felt the connection came naturally once kicks started so that could also be the same for you in a few weeks x

For me it didn’t feel real until I had her and even then it was hard to wrap my head around the fact that she’s my baby and I’m not just baby sitting but that could be because I had her at 19

Will this tiredness pass?

Hey all! Delighted to be here. Currently 11 weeks pregnant with a little girl and I’ve never felt tiredness like it. I am exhausted all the time. I don’t recall this with my two boys but they are 16 soon to be 17 and 10. I also left the father a month ago (gladly) so doing it solo this time! Please someone tell me this will pass, feeling crappy and useless. I’m 37 x

intense cramping/contractions

Hi everyone, I was hoping someone could help me with a question.

I’m under the care of a team of midwives for my pregnancy. I’m currently 38 weeks pregnant, and for the past 3 days I’ve been having intense cramping/contractions, but the hospital hasn’t admitted me because they say I need to be dilated and my water needs to break first.

I’m feeling really desperate because I’m in so much pain. Has anyone else gone through something similar? If so, about how long did it take before you started dilating or your water broke?

(TMI warning)

I’m due the 25th October
At 24+6 I woke up at 4.45 in a panic and was soaking wet, I honestly thought my waters had gone. I called triage and I was seen straight away.
I was swabbed and examined and told to monitor it but they were sure it wasn’t my waters.
This continued for another few days so I called triage again, they saw me again. They said that the swab come back clear of any infection and my urine showed that it wasn’t my waters.

It’s still continuing I am now 26+1
It’s very watery discharge and gushes especially first thing when I wake up and go to the loo
I’ve been wearing period knickers to help as pads were getting uncomfortable and after a sneeze I had to change them after feeling another gush. I’m up 3/4 times a night checking myself.

Has anyone else had this?
I’m currently off work with it as I am so uncomfortable. I feel guilty for being off work but it only takes me standing up, a cough or a sneeze and I’m having to potentially change my underwear. It’s also not urine, it feels like that like of gush you’d have on a period but more often and more watery.

How have you managed if you had it? I read that it could get worse in my third trimester and as the pregnancy progresses

Braxton hicks but regular?

Hi girls, I'm 39 weeks and been having what I think is braxton hicks on and off for a while but more regularly the last few days. Today it's been pretty regular and just been timing it and it's actually quite consistent - about every 10 min for a minute. They're not painful at all though.

Has anyone had this or know what to do? I'm keen to get labour going haha so any tips welcome. I'm also not sure if it's braxton hicks since they're consistent, but they're not painful so surely not contractions? Weird!

Pregnant?

I know this sounds weird but does anyone get a feeling (around 19 weeks) that they aren't as pregnant as before?! My symptoms have settled and nobody needs to see me for another week so I'm just sort of.. here! Haha
