How to get your kid to wipe themselves
Is it just my 4 year old or does anybody else have a hard time getting their kid to wipe their own butt ? I know my son can do it since he does it at school and at his grandmas but at home he REFUSES to do it himself because “he doesn’t know how” . He will literally sit on the toilet for a hour if I don’t get up to do it and it’s so irritating because IVE SEEN HIM DO IT HIMSELF . How do I encourage him to do it by himself all the time instead of waiting till I come to do it . I try to leave him to see if he’ll wipe on his own but he will stay on the toilet for 30-1hr before I finally get fed up and do it for him .

Mine knows how to when it’s pee, but when he poops, it’s so much that sticks that he physically can’t… even when I wipe its like tonsss of wipes I use because so much sticks. and he’s about to go to kindergarten and I’m terrified because of the situation.
My son knows how to as well but when it’s poop he acts helpless! What my son says is that he never knows when he’s done wiping but I tell him until it’s all off and if it gets on his hands wash them for an xtra 10 seconds (30seconds) then use sanitizer
I just don’t understand because I’ve showed him and we’ve practiced together, his grandma says he wipes himself at her house .
I’ve expressed to him that nobody’s gonna help him (since he’s going to kinder) and he states I’ll just hold it all day like 8 hrs is crazy to hold it instead of acknowledging he can do it himself 😭
