Struggling with breastfeeding vs. bottle as I return to work

I'm going back to work part-time, and my mom and mother-in-law are helping with childcare. My baby prefers breastfeeding but will take a bottle, though it's not her favorite, and my MIL had a hard time settling her recently. My husband suggests switching to bottles more at home, but I’m not sure I'm ready to stop breastfeeding completely. Has anyone else faced this? Any tips for making this transition easier while keeping our bond?

Hey girl
I went back to work as of this week and we do 50/50 with bottles and boob! My LO is four months. Definitely push bottles more or change the nipple on the bottles to suit her liking. Most of the day up until 3:30ish I do bottles. At 3:30 I’ll put my LO on the boob for a short feeding because at 5:30pm he gets his dinner/last bottle! Then at night I do strictly latching! It’s helped keep the bond, milk supply, and when he goes to family houses he’s not fussy when it’s bottle only.

This is so helpful! Do you pump the bottles or do you use formula???

My little girl is 4 months tooo!! They grow so fast 🥹🥹 I exclusively breastfed since birth but when I returned to work I had to give her a bottle. It took a couple weeks for her to really accept it but giving her a bottle from me once a day using the same position we breastfeed in, helped a lot. She now takes a bottle from anyone. Nighttime is still out special breastfeeding time and anytime I forget my pump 😅 The hardest part is having to pump every time I give her a bottle so my supply stays up. If you have an enough milk or freezer stash you can give her that, or introduce formula. Whatever works best for your family. You got this!! 🎉🍾
