Just diagnosed with placental insufficiency & completely freaking out

Hi! I’m 28 weeks pregnant and my baby girl is measuring at 26 weeks. The doctor says I have placental insufficiency. I’m fucking freaking out. I don’t know what to do. They’re saying I’ll need to induce at 37 weeks but we’re moving 6 hours away TODAY and I won’t have my new insurance set up until at least August. I’m so afraid. Is this my fault? Am I failing her? This pregnancy has been so so difficult with HG and other life circumstances making it deeply challenging and stressful, and this just feels like the cherry on top. Any reassurance would be appreciated.

Take a breath ♡

You have done nothing wrong, you are not failing her. Placenta issues are impossible to prevent and is not caused by anything you did or didn't do.

My son was measuring 5 weeks behind at birth, my water broke at 35w1d and he was born 3lbs 8.7oz. He did absolutely amazing, no breathing help needed. We spent 2 weeks in the NICU learning to eat and growing, they let us go home at 4lbs. He is now a thriving 20 month boy who just moved to a big bed. Though he's small (20 lbs) he's healthy.

Most people dont also have PPROM with IUGR so dont stress that my story didn't make it to 37 weeks ♡ they never really found a cause for my IUGR.

Feel free to message me and ask me anything
