How do you decide how to split a dinner meal with friends?

Agree with above. But I usually just pay for my own stuff because sometimes what I get is way less than what other people get so I don’t want to pay extra. I only would if I’d offer to or if someone offers to pay for our stuff

Since you invited them out I’d ask them how we would like to pay for the bill. Would be like to split everything evenly or pay for our individual stuff

If my friend has a birthday dinner everyone else usually pays except the birthday person. So idk but I am in the heavily controversial group that believes in splitting bills down the middle or for birthdays paying for the birthday person.
