My husband was with my baby and he was starting to wake up.. I was in the other room sleeping and heard the thud… then heard my baby scream and my husband cry out and my baby crying so loud 😩 I ran out and just saw my husband hugging him.. he fell from the bassinet and he cried with actual tears. I asked to help him… and by that time he had calmed down and stopped crying as my husband was apologizing to him and holding him. When I help him he looked like he wanted to nurse and was sticking his tongue out… he fell asleep pretty normally and I was touching his face (my husband said he landed on his face) to see if he was in any main or if anything felt weird… anyways my baby is 7 weeks old. I’ll take him to the doctor later today but I’m just super upset and nervous right now. Has this happened to anyone else ? Was your baby ok…. I hate saying things but one of my biggest fears/ unspoken insecurities is that my baby will get a brain injury or a developmental delay. I’ve always fears this because I’m a social worker and am around it everyday for work… any ways pls let me now if this happened to anyone or what u think 😩 is he gunna be ok

I would definitely take your baby to get checked out by a doctor asap especially considering his age. Does he have any marks, bruising or swelling? And how did he fall out of bassinet? Did he land on carpet and how far did he fall?

I know this must be so scary, For your own peace of mind, I would take him to the ER or the nearest children’s hospital to be evaluated as soon as possible, especially since he’s only 7 weeks old and landed on his face. Most babies who fall are thankfully okay, but it’s always best to have them checked after a head injury at this age. I hope everything turns out okay. Please keep us updated.

My main question is how does a 7 week old baby fall out of a bassinet?
Yes I’d definitely get him checked out in A&E with being so little and falling on his face.
I know they say now that you can let babies/children sleep after falling and hitting their heads but I personally don’t for at least an hour just incase.

Just for safety and security, take him to the ER.
