So I gave birth on the 24th July however our son wasn’t able to come to the hospital to see his little brother as he had a viral bug. He still hasn’t seen him and hopefully will see him tomorrow but we are home now. We haven’t seen our first born since Tuesday last week. We haven’t mentioned to our son that we gave birth or anything as we didn’t want him to feel like he’s been replaced whilst he wasn’t able to see us for so long. Now that he might be seeing tomorrow at home. Should we talk to him and say do you wwnt to see the baby from mummy’s tummy or do we just bring him into the house whilst baby is in the cot or something . What’s the best way to deal with situation . Any advice please 😩😩

Hiya, not sure if it’s the right way but when I came home my partner stayed with our newborn outside (in the car) and I went to spend 15 minutes or so with my toddler 1 on 1 - just catching up telling him I’d missed him and cuddles - then dad brought his sibling into the house and into the Moses basket and let him meet him. We didn’t make any pressure for him to interact just said little brother is in the lounge when you want to say hello and then were led by him
Hope the introductions well, it’s so nerve wracking but it will be fine x
