As a mom-to-be come November who also has autism herself, I’ve always wondered if it’ll make my children more likely to also have autism. Not that it would be a problem, as I have autism and my younger brother does too. I’m very familiar with it and I feel if my baby had it that I’d be adequately equipped to nurture them.
This is just a general curiosity, again as someone who is on the spectrum and was raised with others on the spectrum.

I am autistic myself & even before becoming pregnant I always told my partner I’d be shocked if my children ever come out neurotypical 🤣

Not sure if we count because we aren't diagnosed, but my husband and I strongly suspect that myself and one of my kids have a "touch of the 'tism". We also suspect that a fair few of my relatives (mostly on my dad's side, and a couple of my siblings) do as well.
I do believe there's a genetic link in a lot of cases.

i’m neurodivergent, probably autistic but i haven’t been evaluated for that. my kid seems like an average toddler but i’ll be surprised if he’s not some type of neurodivergent. me and my siblings are all nd and my mom is too.

It’s strongly believed to be hereditary so there’s a good chance. It runs in my family so I’m pretty sure my son got it from me.

My partner is diagnosed and I'm on the waiting list. Pregnant and we are expecting the same for our child most likely. My brother and nephew are diagnosed too.

I have not been diagnosed. My husband has been though, and our son has autism
