High cholesterol

Anyone else experience high cholesterol? My primary said I inherited it from my parents and I’ve seen a cardiologist and he says eat red meat twice a week and just use my common sense and he’s not entirely worried at all.

Yes, since childhood. I also used to work at a cardiology office. I noticed a few of the doctors pushed vegan diets or plant based a few days a week. Around this time I also watched a documentary on Netflix, I think it was called “what the health” it was really informative. This motivated me to try a vegetarian diet. It is the only time I’ve managed to lower my cholesterol. Unfortunately when I got pregnant my cravings got me eating meat again. But I’ve considering going back to vegetarian again.

I had high cholesterol since my 20s. I got for regular checks with my PCP. This time, I didn’t change anything with my diet or exercise (I don’t exercise). The only thing I changed was switch from vegetable oil to avocado oil when I cook food. Now with the current results as of yesterday, my LDL and triglycerides(bad cholesterol) cut in half, it used to be over 200, now it’s 100 something. So I’m convinced it was just changing to a healthier oil.

Pre eclampsia

So I have traces of protein in my urine, headaches, excessive swelling in my feet and lower legs, shortness of breath and occasional black spots in my vision. I’ve had my blood pressure done today aswell and they said that’s normal.
I questioned all my symptoms with the consultant and it was completely brushed off that it definitely isn’t pre eclampsia as my blood pressure is fine.. I’m worried incase it’s just not being taken seriously. This is my 4th baby and never had any protein before so it’s unusual for me I’d say.. is it possible to actually have pre eclampsia and blood pressure come back looking ok? Any help or personal experiences would be appreciated 🙏🏼thank you xx

Guilty

Should I feel guilty for wanting to just lay in bed all day at 31 weeks my belly is heavy and my hips kill me but people in my ear tell me how I need to be active or my labor will be hard. I'm just so drained tired and wanting my baby here already 😩

Babies

How did you meet the father of your baby? How long were you together/ known each other before you found out you were expecting?
