Sleep Regression around 3-4 months

I keep hearing these borderline horror stories about this age regarding babies sleep and want to know what exactly to expect. I feel like it can’t get much worse/harder for me at this point. My daughter just hit the 3 month mark and still wakes up every 1.5-2 hours streaming mad. Every time she drinks only 2 ounces (if she even finishes it) and is asleep again really fast. I keep her up right and try to burp her for at least 15 minutes each time, and it feels like as soon as I’m able to put her back in her crib she’s waking up again. She also recently just started to fight sleeping on her back and will spend all night turning on her side and gets upset if you try to gently push her back to her back. It sucks and is terrifying because I’ve found her totally on her stomach when I have finally let my guard down enough to close my eyes. She’s had her head turned to the side at least in those instances but she isn’t at the point when she consistently flips from belly to back in tummy time (which she also hates.) I moved her out of her bassinet because of her fish flopping and have essentially been sleeping on the floor next to her crib to keep an eye on her, and I even bought an owlet dream sock to give me a shred of peace of mind. Of course she would sleep for infinite hours if she’s in somebody’s arms or on somebody’s chest. I’m doing probably 90% of this on my own essentially because my partner sleeps like a log and has a ‘let her cry it out’ approach to things.

I apologize for the ramblings but I’m feeling defeated, and I am hoping that it won’t somehow get worse than it already is. I would appreciate any and all advice. I feel like it would even help to just hear someone else say they’ve been through the same thing.

I've been here, this is the stage where they arnt infants anymore so they are shifting to different sleep stages like us. My son woke evey 30 minutes and his father sleeps through to. The best way to get through it is just let them sleep whatever way is comfortable for them. Use the outlet sock for piece of mind

My son had gone from sleeping through to waking up every 40 mins at around 4 months which lasted for multiple weeks and then he started waking up every 2-3 hours.

My daughter wasn’t as affected and started waking up 1-2 times a night. It started getting worse closer to 6 months for her at which point I sleep trained like I had done with my son at this age.

I wouldn’t sleep train before 5.5 months or so although I know of a mom who did it successfully at 4 months so it may be possible depending on the kid. For me it was life changing so an option to consider. x

Do you believe that your parents have tried their best when raising you?

As a 32 years old. I still hold resentment towards my parents (both remarried), it would be nice if they can take some accountabilities for all the emotional neglect that I have experienced, including being emotionally abused by a stepparent. But to set myself free, it would be helpful for me to accept them as they are, and to accept my own flaws.

It hurts the most when I chose the "hard route" when raising my daughter, I can't help but feeling sad that I constantly have to give her what I never had ............. the more self-awareness I gain, the more I realize I have a long way to go, I need to work hard on improving myself.
-
I know exactly why my parents pick the "easy route", because it made them feel better about themselves without doing any work.

I am determined to break the cycle, just wanted to rant here for a bit.

anyone awake?

Going through so much right now. Down to my last ready made formula. 3 nappies left. I've barely eaten today. PPD in full swing. Does it get any better without a village?

Nipple Shields

First time mom here. My babygirl just turned 2 weeks yesterday and has been having some struggles with latching on so I have been exclusively pumping. I was told to try out nipple shields which I tried but why does it seem so hard to put those things on as well as the nipple part seems too big for my newborn to put in her mouth to latch on to. Or is it just me ? Anybody having trouble with nipple shields too? If so what suggestions do you have because oh my lanta it’s stressing me out 😖
