If you have more than one, how did you know you were done having kids?

I’m currently pregnant with my 2nd, due in 2 months and I always thought I was happy with 2 up until this week. Now the idea of this baby being our last and my last pregnancy, makes me so sad! My husband is due to get a vasectomy done in a few weeks and I don’t know how I feel about it, even though it was my idea 🫠 I texted him saying I don’t think this will be our last baby and he texted back saying why are you saying this? 😂

I knew when pregnant with my second I wanted another. Took us a year and a half but he finally decided to happen. Knew he was my last and that hasn't changed even 6 months pp. 3 fit in the car, have space in house etc and I dont honestly think I can cope with a 4th. Happy with my 3 although still hurts knowing its all my lasts this time 😢

Did you feel you pay less attention to your second baby than the first?

I mean starting since they are in the womb. I’m pregnant with my second baby and I feel a tremendous difference between my first pregnancy and the second on how much I was planning, thinking, talking to baby in the womb since now I’m running after a 20 month old. Also, even with the name, I was very clear about the name of my first child. And I’m not so sure I don’t feel a strong affinity towards the name of my second child. I keep going back-and-forth between two names, I don’t feel decisive.

Third trimester anxiety

I just got into the third trimester and my anxiety has been climbing. I’m sure it’s all the things, birth/labor, having a newborn, bodily changes. Etc. was wondering if anyone else felt this change after having a pretty peaceful 2nd tri? Sometimes it’s not even my thoughts that are getting me it’s just an anxious feeling in my body. Can anyone else relate?

Grieving my labor experience
How can I heal and not be so hurt that this happened to me and also god.

Three months later, and I’m still grieving the day my daughter was born.

I went into preterm labor at just 34 weeks. My entire labor lasted about an hour. It was the worst pain I’ve ever felt in my life. I begged for an epidural, but it took too long. I was even begging for a C-section because I couldn’t handle the pain anymore.

When my daughter was born, she wasn’t breathing. She had to be flown to a NICU two hours away, in another state. I was a first-time mom, and I had to spend the first two days of her life away from her. And never got to hold my baby in the hospital that day No mother should have to go through that.

There are things that still haunt me. I wasn’t told right away that her heart rate had dropped. I also wasn’t told that a vacuum had been used during delivery until hours later. Finding those things out afterward left me feeling shocked, confused, and like I had no voice during one of the most important moments of my life.

Now my baby has Grade III brain bleeds and HIE. Every single day I live with the fear of not knowing what her future will look like. She’s only 3 months old, and this waiting game is one of the hardest things I’ve ever experienced.

People tell me to be positive, and I try. But they don’t see the grief I carry every day. They don’t see the anger. They don’t see how traumatic her birth was or how deeply it changed me.

I love my daughter more than anything in this world, and I will fight for her every single day. But I also want people to know that birth trauma is real. The fear, the heartbreak, the guilt, the anger—they don’t just disappear because time passes.

Some days, I’m still trying to survive the day she was born. I feel like I have been stuck in the same day sense she has got here

Due Date August 2nd

Well… I guess I graduated from this group a little early🥴 Little did I know, my “August baby” had other plans💕 She made her arrival July 25th and I still can’t believe she’s here. Labored at home for 12 hours thinking it was false labor, then got to the hospital and it was go time. She made my pregnancy so easy besides the aches and sciatic pain😭 I’d do it all over again🩷
