Congrats on your first baby! Do you have a medical reason for being induced? If not, my advice is to let baby come when they’re ready. More medical complications or interventions can occur with inductions, especially when your body isn’t ready for labor. Also first babies are notorious for arriving late, which is super normal! I wish you the best!!

Be sure to eat before you go in & bring hard candy for when you’re no longer allowed to eat.

Eat a good meal before cause they literally will only give you ice chips and Popsicles (that’s what they gave me) to eat on. Also bring snacks to eat before they start the medicine (I snuck and ate some when I got really hungry just a little bit at time tho cause it could cause you to get sick or nauseous)
Have your birth plan ready cause they might ask you 1 million times (they did to me) . If you don’t plan on getting the epidural, always have it on the back burner. And hold out for as long as you can but not to late .
I didn’t plan on getting one, but once I got to about 6 cm I was in a lot of pain and tapped out and got one .
Have something to help you maintain the pain like a stress ball or one of those wire combs some people have
Use that yoga in birthing ball to do some stretches to help lower the baby it helped relieve some of the pain for me as well
Dont be afraid to speak up because sometimes the nurses will do whatever they want stick to what’s best.
