Any pre or post op advice?

I’ve got my section booked for next Wednesday 12th and I’m just really excited I had to share ❤️ obviously terrified also!

Any advice for last minute prep before and after? Clothes or anything?

Thanks!

make sure to get up and walk as soon as you can helps recovery a ton! I would pack some gum to chew post surgery (helps with trapped gas because that is no joke and Make sure to take the gas medicine). when they want to pee after the catheter is removed it can be tough, what help me is bringing a cup of water with a straw and blowing bubbles into the cup (saved me from having to have the catheter back in) good luck!!!

Get a c section support belt (I preferred the ones that look like a back brace over the more expensive Freda one!) and a pair of Primark tummy control shorts to help support your section wound afterwards! make sure you have something by your bed you can pull yourself up on as you won't be able to use your core muscles (or tie a rope to the end of your bed that you can pull on to help sit up!) take loads of good hospital snacks, and an eye mask and earplugs as you won't get much sleep on the ward! Good luck 🎉

Get a litter picker for home so you can pick stuff up off the floor easily!
