Does anyone else’s breastfed baby’s poop have mucous in it? Is this normal? It’s not a lot but it is every diaper, I’ve read that it is normal and I’ve read that it can signal CMPA. I worry because he is super gassy/has colic as well.

I would honestly call the 24 hour nurse helpline for professional help. It's better to be safe than sorry.

My baby is 5 months and had the same thing until I stopped eating dairy. it was CMPA!

My son had this when he was a baby in addition to really bad eczema. I stopped eating dairy and caffeine and they both went away. Eventually I slowly started introducing dairy back into my diet and it was ok. He completely outgrew the allergy over time, so that’s definitely a possibility! He’s 3 now and has a cup of milk every day with no issue.

My daughter has CMPA. She’s 5 months old but I didn’t find out till she was 2 months old. Per her paediatrician a mild case but nonetheless her symptoms were soo much gas, always fussy, hard to settle, mucusy poops, she was honestly miserable. I cut dairy from my diet completely and she’s a totally different baby. Always happy, easy to settle, better poops (occasional mucus but not nearly as bad)

Everyone else already said the advice I would give. I just gotta say- I read it as "boyfriend poo" first and was caught so off guard ðŸ˜ðŸ˜†
