I am currently 32 weeks pregnant with my second child and I am afraid and I feel guilty my first child didn’t get as much time to be by herself. I know everyone says it’ll workout but any advice on making this transition easier is appreciated 🥲

Hi! I had two little boys 20 months apart. They’re 3 and 16 months now and they love each other so much, it makes my heart burst 🥰 everything I read online scared me so much, I was so stressed. Were there hard days? Of course, but most of the time it was so so much fun! And I say this as a SAHM who has no childcare/daycare help, so they’re both with me all day! In terms of feeling guilty with your first, that’s so normal. I promise it will get better the moment you meet your new baby because you’ll be so in love. However, once my second was born, I found myself really missing my oldest because I was so busy with feedings and taking care of things that only I could take care of with a newborn. I started planning one on one time with my oldest and it was a game changer. At the beginning, that could be as simple as playing or reading together for 15/30 minutes while my husband was with the baby. You can make it more elaborate with time!

This makes me happy 🥹I know they’ll be the best of friends and that I’ll be probably going overwhelmed sometimes, but it’ll be worth it. I’ll definitely have to schedule time with her. That’s my girl and she’s so much fun. Thank you so much for the insight ☺️
