My little boy is 16 months old, never had a proper hair cut I trim the front at home once a month when it’s going in his eyes but I can’t bring myself to take him for a proper one, it’s long enough that I can do a top knot or a little pony tail most of my family and my partners family constantly make comments about it’s to long for a boy but he has beautiful curls in parts of his hair I think he looks perfect however it’s getting very frustrating when we go out in public he gets mistaken for a girl it’s doesn’t help he has long thick black eyelash’s so should I just have it cut or keep it as is until he’s old enough to communicate with me that he wants it short

A toddler gives zero shits whether they look like a girl or a boy. Mine always got called a boy before her hair grew out because I don't go for stereotypical "girly" stuff. Now she has her own style that is just about what she likes, some days it's construction vehicles, some days it's unicorns, but even on the days she's wearing the stereotypical boys stuff people assume she's a girl because of her hair. But I genuinely don't care if someone calls her a boy. It's not an insult. I'd just wait and let him decide! You can't do much about strangers but you can tell your family to grow up. Plenty of men have longer hair and look great with it, there's nothing wrong with letting him make his own choice with that. But if you're getting really fed up of the comments and want a change I'm sure he'll still be very cute if you get it cut!

Lopsided!

My LG only feeds from my right boob - I’ve been told by the Breastfeeding Network that this is perfectly normal which is fine. I try to pump from the left occasionally but I don’t always get round to it… now I’ve noticed that my right boob is bigger than my left (which makes sense) but does this mean I’m permanently lopsided?! Will pumping more even then out? Will it be even out when I start weaning?

Crawling?

My 6 month old is having a hard time. He is trying to crawl but he doesn’t push up on his arms. He uses his legs but not his arms. Anyone have any tips on how to help him?

Help, Advice, support. Literally anything!

My baby is nearly 5 weeks old. She is cluster feeding around-the-clock. She doesn't sleep unless she is on me as soon as I put her down. She wakes up within 15 minutes. There has been an occasion where she's gone down for a few hours, but it's very, very rare. She's waking up every hour at night. My breast milk doesn't seem to be filling her, so I've outsourced combination feeding, so I'm doing breast and formula to see if I can finally get her to feel full and satisfied, so she'll sleep. 95% of the time when she's awake, she's crying and can't be settled.I'm the first time, mum and I'm struggling. My family don't live anywhere near me. I'm feeling incredibly guilty because I don't know how I'm going to cope with this every day. Don't get me wrong. I wanted her we tried for her and I would never take back having her.I love her so much, but I am really struggling and I can't see it getting any easier.
I genuinely feel like in failing, I don't know what to do.

Rookie mistake today, my kids are far more wise than me.

I did my daughters hair this morning, a cute little updo style with multiple little braids conjoining, anyways I used those tiny rubber bands and by the time we were in the school drop off line they had all broken because of the hair products I used I guess have oil that disintegrates rubber🫠 then when I was ranting and throwing a little hissy fit my kid just says “it’s ok nothing lasts forever”

Car seat? Help!

Hiya, I’ve slowly started buying things for baby (finally- due Oct 9). We got our pram second hand and know we need to get a new car seat. Does anyone have a recommendations? I don’t know where to start. I think I want one with an isofix base so can turn baby either way and I’ve heard they’re easier to deal with.

Activities with a 3 week old

Hey Guys!

My little girl is 3 weeks old. I have no idea what activities I should be doing with her. Is it normal that her wake windows usually only last the amount of time of nappy change, bottle and burp?

The Health Visitor has mentioned Tummy Time, but she doesn't seem to be awake long enough to do this.

Any advice?
