Has anyone used clary sage oil and think it’s useful / helped to bring on labour?

I've bought some to put in an aromatherapy machine when labour starts but I'm not sure its a good idea to use before that...

I did ! It was very powerful and I ended up being so overwhelmed with extra long contractions ( probably just because of my own body/ baby's position) and it was so hard to get away from the smell, the feel that it was on me and I had to get changed and throw stuff in a bag far away.
I guess it worked in helping me start labor early, I used it in my diffuser along with other oils after 37 weeks when my midwife started telling me to act upon not getting induced ...but I would caution to be very measured with it and perhaps avoid the " put drops on a paper tissue" kind if thing, which I did once on the antenatal ward and regretted!

Yes and definitely encourages contractions, I would only take when I’m over dates and maybe time with after a sweep or something ☺️

I've used it in a bath (mix it with milk first to help it diffuse into the water rather than sit on top) and that was really nice. You can also move it with a carrier oil and massage your bump. It wasn't overwhelming either of these ways, but I hated it on a tissue or in a diffuser. I've had early labour contractions since, so maybe it worked?

How do I know if I’m in labor?

I feel like this is a dumb question but fr how do you know without the obvious signs?

A few days ago I got up to pee around 4am and felt a VERY intense pelvic pressure. It kinda hurt and the best way I can describe it was like period cramps? Happened again at 8am then 10am that same day (I think it was Monday)

I had a dr’s appointment yesterday and when I asked, I was told “I could be feeling the real thing and not Braxton Hicks”. Haven’t felt it since then until about bit ago. At 9:45pm and then 9:55pm (it’s currently 10:15pm)

No other obvious signs, no leaking, bleeding. Baby is moving and active.
I do feel kinda the urge to go the bathroom? 🫣 I’m 35+4 due Sept 6

Help 😅

Baby Kicks

Is it normal to feel weird and like semi grossed out when feeling/seeing the small kicks?
I’m close to 23 weeks and I love seeing them and feeling them but it kinda grosses me out at the same time and I feel so bad for feeling like that 🫣😭

No morning sickness???

I’m week 7 now and still yet to experience any substantial nausea or sickness! I had 3 waves of nausea during the implantation phase but when I mean waves I mean very much a few minutes of “ooh do I feel a bit sick?” And before I could decide yes or no it had passed. Anyone else not experiencing any nausea or morning sickness? It’s making me a bit worried! 😅

I have fatigue and insomnia, sore boobs and increased hunger, plus increased heart rate… I’m not wishing for morning sickness at all, just want to know my pregnancy is normal. 😂

I like the name Grace…

My husbands cousin is called Grace. His other cousins girlfriend is Grace. His brother’s girlfriend’s sister is Grace. Would it be a bad idea to call our baby Grace? Bearing in mind that they barely ever see these people… just at family events.
