Elective or induction?

That’s been my dilemma which is why I’ve opted for a elective c section 😬

I had an induction with my first from my waters braking to her born was 2 hours however I lost so many blood and ended up having a transfusion. I don’t remember her birth mum but my partner says my emergency C-section was a better experience

I had an induction and although it was tough going I managed to deliver successfully with pain relief from an epidural. Everyone responds differently to inductions and pain relief and it all depends on your body in the moment. I felt I was lucky as I was the only one on the ward who was induced that didn't end up with an emergency C-section. Hoping to go fully natural this time round but all depends on baby and my body. i had an induction first time round and it went fine! was at 39 weeks. only had to have the pessary as that started my labour and my waters breaking. i only had a bit of gas and air...wasn't offered anything else haha. as i knew i was having an induction i went for 3 sweeps in the week before - so that could have helped.

I personally think induction works well for people who's bodies are ready for labour. Of it's not, then at a minimum it's a very lengthy process. My body was not ready, it took 4 days and it ended up in emergency C-section anyways.
