Moms, when did you ditch the infant car seat and switch to a convertible car seat? And which convertible car seat did you go with? Would love to hear what you liked (or didn’t like) about yours! 😊

She was about 4 months. She looked like she’d outgrown her infant carrier the day she was born since she was such a big girl 😂 got her the avionaut stardust and it’s amazing

I don’t know what’s available in Canada so I can’t recommend specific seats, but get a Swedish plus tested one if you can, and make sure they’re rear facing until 5 years old at a minimum.
Car seats aren’t like strollers, they’re safety devices designed to save your child’s life in the event of a crash, so opinions on likes & dislikes don’t really hold much weight in relation to quality.
Given your baby’s age I would continue to use the infant carrier for now, unless you have a not-so-safe one and want to upgrade to something safer? (I had a horrible infant carrier so upgraded to a plus tested seat as soon as I could)
Avionaut, Axkid, Britax, and BeSafe seats pass the Swedish plus test but I don’t know which of their seats would be available to you, I do know the Axkid One3 has recently launched in the US but not sure if you could get that?
There’s a Facebook group called Car Seats For The Littles, it’s run by CPST’s, they can give you more specific recommendations ◡̈
