Induced

Does anyone know if you can ask to be induced ? I was induced with my 1st because my top waters went.

But I would feel better to be induced and in hospital instead of at home waiting around with a toddler :/ ? I have a sweep at 39 weeks but thinking to ask to be induced if that fails.

My beautiful, curious twin boys spilled a bottle of bubbles all over a carpet that’s supposed be waterproof.
LIES!
Bubbles went thru the carpet and on to the chestnut wood flooringggg 😭 I dried it up, used a gentle cleanser but the rug is still soaked even after drying and patting with 1000 towels.
This carpet is effing huge and heavy. What do I do? Has this happened to you?

A Keep the wet part of the carpet flipped up till it dries out?

Hey Mamas! Asking for some help to make this guy's big day special!

We just moved here and don't have many friends or know anybody! I'm hoping maybe a few of you maybe would be willing to come stop by and say hi? Maybe have some cake? There will be tacos and snacks of course too! I'm going to try and get some activities and games together as well. Maybe a splash pad or small pool.🤞

And of course if anyone has any decorations or anything to spare laying around I would be so grateful. Funds are pretty limited as we just moved into our new home. He is obsessed with Minecraft and CG5.

Mucus plug

I’m 37 weeks pregnant on Tuesday with my second and I’m pretty sure I’ve lost some of my mucus plug in pieces.

Does that mean labour is coming very soon or could it still be weeks away?

NIPT + trisomy 18 Edwards syndrome, cystic hygroma, low heart rate

I’m devastated to have received some of the most painful news of my life.
I’m 35 and pregnant with my second.
First ultrasound at 10 weeks showed low heart rate (111BPM) but nothing else so they wanted to follow up in a week just to be sure.
Second ultrasound at 11 weeks showed a heart rate of 111BPM and a newly developed cystic hygroma at 4.4mm with abdominal edema.
Third ultrasound at 12 weeks showed a heart rate of 80BPM and cystic hygroma about the same at 5mm.
NIPT came back as high risk for trisomy 18.
I have one more scan in a week to see if anything resolves, and an appt with a MFM.
Is there any hope? Should I do amniocentesis?
Has anyone experienced something similar? Heartbroken doesn’t even begin to capture what I’m feeling. I’m desperate for some answers or guidance.

C-Section

I have my C-Section this week. I understand my partner can’t stay the night, however what time is everyone’s partner coming back up the next day? Because apparently asking for him to be up the hospital for 9am is not on as he wants a lye in? Is it just me 🤷🏻‍♀️🤣
