Fall down the stairs… please help

My son fell down the stairs and I took him straight to a and e and they said all was good thank god. The doctor said as he’s had a fall at home they have to refer me on to the health team or something??? What does that even mean? I’m scared like it was an accident

I've had a similar situation, my son fell off a changing table (I literally turned around to get some clothes for him) and took him straight to A&E, and a few days later I got a call from the health visitors. She just asked the circumstances of the accident and if he was okay now, questions like that. I think it's just out an abundance of caution, because of past failings anything to do with a child getting hurt has to be looked into

It's to rule out child abuse, unfortunately some wicked parents would in fact push their child down the stairs.

It's really nothing to worry about, just be calm, helpful, answer any questions, they'll tick a box and go away

No school till 5

So I’ve seen things online of people saying your child doesn’t have to be in school till term after 5th birthday.. so my daughters birthday is December. Does that mean I can register her to start September.. but up till January. She can have random days off here/ there without being fined? (Uk)

Sterilising bottles

How long did you continue to sterilise bottles? NHS advice says 12 months.

Thinking more towards the cold water steriliser method as can't self sterilise bottles we're using in microwave

Vaccines

How do you moms feel about the vaccines we have to give our babies? i have a newborn son and my daughter is 2 i got my daughter most of her vaccines that are required but now im seeing on social media that some vaccines can be harmful to babies cause of heavy metals which can cause autism. my son only got the Hep b and vitamin k at the hospital and he seems fine but im scared to get anymore vaccines after seeing all this stuff on social media. I dont know maybe im overthinking.

Night feeds

My baby is 4 months old and wakes up twice in the night for a bottle. When he wakes up for a feed, he is very impatient and won’t wait for me to make him a bottle (I am formula feeding). He is perfectly fine as soon as the bottle is ready and he is being fed. Can anyone suggest anything I can do as it stressing me out

Breast feeding & struggling

Is anyone else exclusively breastfeeding and struggling with the nighttime?

My baby is 6 days old and during the first few days it was much easier, i’m pretty good with no sleep as long as I get at least 40-60 minutes but for the last couple of days its been awful.

I breastfeed him, he falls asleep, I try to transfer him to the next to me and he’s asleep for a couple of mins then bam, eyes wide open.

Nothing settles him other than my breast, we’ve tried it all.

Yesterday I was breastfeeding him for 8 hours in total 😭😭

Thankfully I managed to make it through last night because he fell asleep resting on my chest and I fell asleep sat up right whilst my partner watched us both (not sure how I’d do it with him).

This is just so draining 😭

First words

My baby is 1 years old and 3 weeks. Made loads of sounds like ‘ohhhhhh’ and ‘oooooooo’ says dada but nothing else. I’m constantly talking at him and if I say look at xyz etc he knows exactly what I’m talking about. But the words don’t come out of his mouth. Just looking for some reassurance I guess as all I see on here are babies saying 5+ words already 🤯

From one worried mummmy x
