Vaccines

How do you moms feel about the vaccines we have to give our babies? i have a newborn son and my daughter is 2 i got my daughter most of her vaccines that are required but now im seeing on social media that some vaccines can be harmful to babies cause of heavy metals which can cause autism. my son only got the Hep b and vitamin k at the hospital and he seems fine but im scared to get anymore vaccines after seeing all this stuff on social media. I dont know maybe im overthinking.

Stay away from anti-vax social media corners. We live in a world where anyone can say anything even if they have no education or license. Vaccinate your children, truly and honestly loosing a child to a preventable illness in the modern age would be awful. Protect your children because they can’t protect themselves. I’m fully vaccinate and always have been and I’m perfectly healthy and so is the rest of my fully vaccinate family and my two year old daughter who has had every required and recommended vaccination.

Trust a doctor that went to school for 12+ years or a random person on the Internet. Such a difficult decision. Well we were promised a healthier life and now people are dying from eating lettuce. Your call.

I fully agree. Please vaccinate your child.

Do what you feel is right. I didn’t give my daughter Hep B at birth because I’m not Hep B+ so she didn’t need it in my eyes. I did give her Vitamin K tho.. I also didn’t start giving her vaccines until she turned 1 and even then I did one series at a time and spaced them out. I feel like giving 3 in one appt is too much.. if she had a bad reaction how would they know which one it was? I get my daughter vaccinated just on my own vaccine schedule and not the CDC’s guidelines.

Look up dr green mom. She's someone about informed consent and a vaccine neutral doctor! Shes great if you want to look up different brands and she also teaches how to prep your baby for vaccines if you go that route =)

Go with your gut and do your research. Look into dr green mom. And fyi you can always space out your vaccines or delay. I know a lot of people that have done that especially since the current schedule hasn't been tested

There is a ton of misinformation online. Also would you rather have an alive baby that has autism or a baby that passes from the common cold or rsv? I would much rather my child get autsim from a vaccine than let him be susceptible to sicknesses that are only mostly irradicated because people have vaccinated their kids and themselves.

I didn’t vaccinate my son and don’t plan on it. He is very healthy, hasn’t gotten sick and is meeting all milestones on time. I’m not saying don’t vaccinate your child, definitely do your own research and you decide what is best for your family.

Baby has not pooped on 9 days

Has anyone has this experience? My baby is 6weeks old. He has not pooped in 9 days. I have seen the GP 3 times and their recommendation is to let him poop on his own as the laxatives are too strong for him.
I do the usual tummy rub and bicycle exercise. But he just farts alot.

Unsettled baby

Anyone else in the same boat? I’m really struggling with how ‘unsettled’ baby is. She cries a lot, even when we have tried everything. She’s a bit of a fomo baby so fights naps too 🙄

I feel really uncomfortable going out anywhere because 90% of the time she cries and I can’t do anything to settle her.
I feel self conscious when in public and it’s making feel isolated, I don’t want to go to baby groups because I feel that she will cry the whole time.

Contact naps

Am I making it more difficult for myself long term by allowing contact naps during the day? She doesn’t like her naps in the pram and doesn’t stay down very long when I do put her down in the day… -she doesn’t like lying flat due to reflux… 9/10x she’s ok in her cot at night. 15 week old.

Nap schedule help please 🙏

My baby is 6.5 months old. I have followed huckleberry loosely as I find the articles useful to read for each month. Especially the recommended wake window times for each age. I still have always gone off his sleep cues whilst having those recommendations in mind. I have never paid for the sweet spot as I have followed my instincts. He used to only nap on me when he was younger and then I started putting him in his crib for naps and he used to only managed 45 minutes. Now he is sleeping longer and Huckleberry recommends 1 hour 15 in morning then 1 hour 30 and then a 30 minute nap to get through to bedtime. I am waking him up from the naps and sometimes finding the 30 minute nap hard to get him down and not beneficial as then it gives him later bed time. But sometimes it does help stop him be over tired. Is anyone else baby this age on two long naps at this point? It recommends he sleeps about 3.5 hours in day time. Just to add I have also started making sure he is awake 7am because it was affecting the rest of the days sleep etc.
