Anyone else in the same boat? I’m really struggling with how ‘unsettled’ baby is. She cries a lot, even when we have tried everything. She’s a bit of a fomo baby so fights naps too 🙄
I feel really uncomfortable going out anywhere because 90% of the time she cries and I can’t do anything to settle her.
I feel self conscious when in public and it’s making feel isolated, I don’t want to go to baby groups because I feel that she will cry the whole time.

Try to push yourself to keep going out, it’s so hard but when you go to places with other mums, they totally understand. You’ll go stir crazy if you stay home. I haven’t had a fussy baby but I’ve been to groups where sometimes a baby is fussy the whole time and honestly I didn’t see any of the other mums looking or judging. We’ve all been there xx

Sometimes babies are more settled outside, so she might surprise you!
Also, don't worry about it, no one will be judging you!

Adding to this, babies are more bored than you think! Go out and enjoy things together :)

From someone whose baby is exactly the same, I’m going to go against the crowd and say…put less pressure on yourself to go out. I kept trying to push through and go out and it made me depressed when every time we’d go out I felt like I was fighting for my life. It put me in a constant state of fight or flight and I hated every second. I wish I’d found things to enjoy at home/in the garden instead of stressing myself and her out. Once our girl was 3 months I could actually get out and go for walks without her screaming like she was on fire the whole time. 4 months she was hit or miss in the car so I’d only drive to very local places with my husband. Now at 5 months we’re able to go a bit further and managed our first class last week. We went to a shopping centre just us today and she was fine majority of the time but screamed most of the journey home, but I’ll take it because we actually got out and had a nice day. You know your baby best and with time she will become more settled

I’m in the same position, it is so hard, I feel so anxious and overwhelmed at the thought of going out on my own with her. I don’t even want people apart from my parents to come to my house to see her crying. She does have some good days when I can go out and she’s actually quite happy which makes me think we have turned a corner so I venture further the next time and it’s a disaster. I know she will grow out of it though so we are just trying to survive

I totally resonate with this.
I had a baby with colic who just did not like the outside world. She wanted to be on me 24/7, hated the car, hated the pram and disliked strangers. Shes now nearly 10 months and is a wee ray of sunshine. If she fusses now I can make her laugh in 0.3 seconds and she forgets she was having a moan. I guess I just wish someone told me that my daughter would 'come into her own'. She still has a feisty temperament but that just makes her determined as hell to learn and explore rather than moan and groan.
Pick one small win for the day and do it for your sanity. Start small.
I planned car trips for nap times and went a 20 minute pram walk with the sling ready if I needed it. Every win is a win! I looove this age and it's ahead of you
