Routines

Those of you getting 4/5/6/7 hour stretches at night, what’s your day/night one routines? Ie when are you putting them to bed? How long are they awake for before bed? How often are they napping in the day?

Asking for very tired friend 🫠😅

My boys get up usually 9 ish have a bottle play for anything upto 2 hours sleep until they’re due their next bottle (4hrly) then again play for upto 2 hrs n sleep until their next bottle that’s just a loop through the day then we aim for a 10pm bedtime.
We were getting 6-7 hour stretches at night but the past two nights we’ve had a 8hr & a 8.5hr stretch 🤞🏻

After their long stretch then have a small feed and go back to bed until I’m ready to get up 🤣 it’s exhausting with 2 babies n a 3 year old so I stay In bed as long as they let me which is usually 9 , 9:30 latest

My 7 week old is usually awake for 1-1.5 hours to play/interact, I keep an eye on wake windows and if she fusses I start rocking her to sleep. She has a bottle 3 hourly in the day sometimes 2.5 hours. Her naps vary in length but on average through the day she gets around 7 hours sleep. She is up more in the evening and a lot more cranky but will settle to sleep after her bottle for the night around 9-10pm. Husband does night routine while I put the older one to bed. She then has an initial 3-5 hour stretch and will wake for a bottle and goes back down for another 3-4 hours.

My 8 week old can vary during the day between 1-3 long panos during the day or 1 long nap then a couple broken/short naps (we kind of just follow cues but aim to have at least 1 long nap). We shower/bathe him at around 7 then sometimes give him a bottle then we put him in his crib and he’s usually down by 8-9pm every night. Then he first wake is anywhere from 3/4/7 hours for a bottle then usually 3/4 hours after. I would say our day starts at about 9:30-10am most days

Don't Get a Divorce for the Sake of the Baby🧸

I’m in a pretty delicate situation. I have a three-month-old baby, and I’ve been married for four years, but it seems like our marriage may be coming to an end.

We have both accepted that, for our baby’s sake, we will probably need to stay together until he is at least two or three years old. There is still love between us.

As a new mother, with all the hormonal and emotional changes that come with this period, I feel very conflicted about how I should behave and what mindset I should have.

Do I tell myself, “He is still my husband, I still love him,” and continue living as though nothing has really changed until the relationship eventually ends? That would include continuing to have a sexual and affectionate relationship with him, but I’m afraid that this could make me even more emotionally vulnerable and make the eventual separation much more painful.

Or should I start creating some emotional and physical distance now — less touching, less intimacy, and more of a roommate/co-parent relationship? That also feels incredibly difficult when you still love the person. It feels sad for both of us, because it would mean not really being able to comfort, support, or be close to each other during such an intense period of our lives.

At the same time, seeing other people while we are still married is not something I consider ethically acceptable.

I’m genuinely torn between protecting myself emotionally and allowing myself to continue loving and being close to my husband while we still have this time together. What do you think is the healthiest way to approach a situation like this?

Has anyone else had to take a tdap shot / tetanus shot while pregnant? My primary care physician has recommended me this shot and i’m curious if anyone else has taken it.

Has your child ever had fever hallucinations?

I think my 4 year old had this last night? It was the scariest thing. She had a fever so she was in bed with us. Once second she is telling me to go get her more water and then all of a sudden she is screaming and shaking and yelling “who’s doing that? What is that? I’m scared” over and over. It happened a second a little later.

Has anyone experienced this with their kid?

Hot shot method rapid cool

When doing the hot shot method with rapid cool do you need to sterilise it ever? Or just wash it hot soapy water now and again?

Is this ok?

My 2.5-year-old wants a bottle of milk before going to sleep at night, and I'm finding it difficult to break the habit. Is it okay for her to keep using the bottle for a bit longer, or how can I help her stop?
