Had ours today and he cried A LOT! Calmed down after Calpol then started wailing when it was nearly time for the next dose. He’s usually a very happy boy so seeing him like that is quite sad 😞. We’re spending the day giving lots of cuddles!

Ours are booked for next Tuesday - I’m so nervous I hate the thought of her crying in pain 😢

My little only cried for a minute. He was a bit unwell with them but nothing contact naps and lots of snuggles couldn't deal with. Do expect potential diarrhoea from the rota virus one as its a live virus. For us it also led into him sleeping longer through the night so its not all bad! Remember its for a good cause and the pain is only fleeting.
Also look in your red book for advice about calpol, for me it differed to what the nurse said and he definitely needed the 3 dosed it mentions!

My little one cried a little as soon as they happened but quickly stopped - he was sleepy that afternoon but then for the next day or two his sleeping was quite disrupted and he just wanted to be held. His poos have been a bit runny ever since too (have to make sure you double bag the nappies, wash your hands after handling pooey nappies because the rotavirus one is a live virus and you can catch it through nappies, but they'll explain it all to you), but other than that he is fine now (one week later)
