C Section Recovery.

Hi all,
I'm currently 34.5weeks and a FTM. I think I am likely going to need to have a planned C section due to other heath issues (and still waiting to be seen by a cardiologist who seem to be ghosting me!!)
I was just wondering if someone would please give me a rough idea of recovery week by week after the surgery? We're trying to work out my husband's pat leave and how much help I'm going to need...

Thanks so much in advance!!

It really does depend on the individual, and I found that my recoveries from both of my C-sections were quite different.
With my first, the biggest shock was just how difficult it was to walk around and do normal things. I spent most of the first 5 days in bed and probably started getting around more and doing a few things for myself after about a week. I didn’t really have much choice but to do more after 2 weeks, as my husband only had 2 weeks off, although thankfully he worked from home so was still able to help a lot.
With my second C-section, the pain was actually much worse. I couldn’t do very much for around 2 weeks and was on quite strong painkillers for a while. I’ve heard that second C-sections can sometimes be more painful, although obviously everyone is different.

I’m curious, what’s the WORST part about having a C-Section?

I’ve got 2 kids and never experienced a C-Section, so I’m generally curious and haven’t seen any posts about what the worst part is? I know lots of people will say the aftermath - leaving the hospital (not being able to move, dealing with incision pain, achy body etc) & thereafter but I’m more specifically asking about the hours before, during surgery and the hours after the C-Section and not necessarily the PP part of it. Would love to hear about it 🤍

Baby boy born 🩵

Hey ladies , I’ve had nearly 2 weeks of my boy now and I’ve realised I’ve not checked in on here at all . My boy was born 30th July at 3.44 weighing 6 pound 4 ! He was born 37+3 .

He had a tough start and came out extremely bruised , the doctors said they have never seen anything like it 🙈 but he’s all okay now and very content .

Thank you everyone for all your help and advice over the last 9 months .

Planned/ elective/ emergency C section recovery opinions?

Due a planned c section soon due to a severe tear in my last birth with lasting damage to my pelvic muscles.

How was your recovery? Really worried about coping with a toddler.

Strong babies?

Has anyone else got a really strong baby!
My little Olivia was born on the 3nd August and shes soo strong, she fights me every opportunity she gets haha! She can make self soo stiff and shes even holding her own head up!

What's with these August 2026 babies they seem to be super strong, have hiccups all the time, lift their own heads!

Baby’s growth

Im worried about how baby is growing :(

I have had very small bump my whole pregnancy. I had an ultrasound at 34 weeks to check baby’s growth and it shows shes 9% percentile.

She was 21% percentile at my 20 week anatomy scan. Midwife says it’s okay but on the low side and that baby is just small. I will need an ultrasound every two weeks to monitor it until baby’s here.

Have any other mom’s babies been around 9%? Was the baby okay but small? And what happens if baby gets to 3% which is what my midwife’s and concerned about?
