I'm going back to work in September. My little girls settling in sessions start on the 1st. Can anyone share their experiences? I'm so sad & also very worried she won't be able to settle at nursery.
Sending love to all the mummy's going through this because it is SO HARD.

I had similar worries, but honestly it's been fine, he's quickly adjusted, this is his second proper week of going and he's thriving. The settling sessions for us were fine, they were relatively short ( a couple of hours at a time) and he really loved playing with different people and different toys etc. Now he's in there properly 3 days a week, he does sometimes get a little upset when we first drop him off, but settles within minutes and I get updates throughout the day with photos, he is honestly having so much fun and he is so happy there whenever I've picked him up. The only issue we've really had is keeping to a regular nap schedule there, he gets FOMO so then keeping him awake till bed becomes a bit of a challenge 😂 but I've found if I'm calm and happy, he definitely settles in quicker each day.

My little had her first settling in session today, to be honest I was abit worried! She’s such a mummies girl especially round people she doesn’t know.. I stayed in there with her for 20 minutes then I left her to it for another 40 and she was ABSOLUTELY FINE!!! They said she was just watching all the other kids, read a couple books, played with some toys. Not a tear or anything. When they brought her back out to me she was absolutely fine just chilled. She’s two more 1 hours settling sessions before she starts fully Monday! But today has put me so at ease as I know she’ll be fine 😅😅😅
