20 months old today and still no words 😞 she says mama and dada and baba but all at different times with no meaning. When she cries she says mamamama which i think is for me because when her dad picks her up she still does it until I’ve got her.
I’m feeling really down about it.
I’m waiting to hear from SALT and we have a paediatrician booked for early September. Just wondered who else was in the same boat?

Bless you sweetheart it will be ok, so my son is 20 month we now have a paediatrician and is going to be referred to speech as he isnt saying many words either your definitely not alone, my son also doesnt eat or if he does its very little, children are all different and ours will definitely catch up... sending you hugs!xx

Same here just mama, dada and nan im waiting to here from salt too. Its such a worry isnt it 😔 x

I’ve got 2 girls, first is 3 next month then 2nd is 2 in December.
My eldest didn’t even say mumma until 20 month old, she was able to understand everything and communicate back but very limited speech. Was only since she’s turned 2.5 that her speech has exploded and has now surpassed the age expectations and no need for speech therapy.
The little one is non stop talking, singing at this age - each child is different and I was told by the HV/SALT this is still very early for them to talk x

Very much the same.
Lots of mama and dada.
