Is anyone else in this position and any tips to help my baby with sitting unaided? Everyone at my baby’s classes have babies sitting stably up at 6 months!

I was wondering the same but read that it's usually a 6-8 month skill if I remember right? I wouldn't panic as it doesn't mean they're behind or anything
I sit mine in the corner of the sofa a lot to help with sitting up, and she'll sit between my legs which has helped a lot with her posture and head strength. I've practiced with her on the bed and floor sitting unaided and she's still falling or sometimes sat for a couple seconds but it's all a learning curve for them. I can imagine how it must make you feel in classes though but just keep thinking all babies are different and it will happen eventually!

Honestly, just don't stress about it. 6 months is the average but there have to be kids on either side of that to get that average. Mine was sitting just before 6 months but didn't ever crawl, was a bum shuffler and then a late walker(20m). So from experience I know it can be challenging but unless yours is showing absolutely zero signs of having the ability to sit I would just let them run their own race and stop worrying about what everyone else is doing.

One of the things that helped me was tripod sitting, helped my little one learn how to balance ☺️

Mines almost 8 months and isn't! I'm not worried :)

My first did at 4.5 months my second will be 6 months next week and I don't think she's anywhere near it yet

My 6 month old is barely tripod sitting but she is nearly crawling, babies are so different I wouldn't be concerned! They have a cluster of things to learn and they will do it when they are ready! You are doing fab! ❤️

Practicing in the middle of your bed is best, so they can fall and not get hurt.
Mine is still leaning and sloping off to the side or face planting, so you're not alone. 🥰

Don’t worry. Mine didn’t sit up unaided until he was 8.5 months. Health visitor said if it got to 9 months she’d consider a referral.
