My baby is 10 weeks old and has pretty much from 2 weeks old hated the car. Im genuinely at the point of considering buying another car seat to see if that makes a difference. People who have had the same experience, what did you do? She screams no matter the length of the journey and is so distracting.

My first baby was like this and grew up into a car sick toddler. Nothing we ever did made a difference. I used to time car journeys around naps as that’s the only way he wouldn’t scream x

My first was like this and it was so stressful. Nothing made a difference. One day she was about 3 months I think and she just didn’t cry. I was so shocked. I think she just had very bad separation anxiety and took time getting used to it . As hard as it is try to go out on lots of short journeys so baby gets more used to the car.

Mine grew out of it, but it was soul destroying at the time

Mine grew out of it - but i found that playing lullaby’s helped settle her x

16 months in, she still isn’t the biggest fan but it’s much much better and now she will at least nap if timing is right!
We did change the car seat (Avionaut sky 2.0) and that instantly helped a lot and we also have her in the front seat (air bags off) which also massively helped

Our little girl was the same but by about 3 months she seemed fine 🤷🏻♀️

My little girl has hated the car since she was about 3 months, she's now 6 months. Tried everything, the only way I can do anything over 10 mins (she still cries on short journeys but I can just about cope and she doesn't usually fully lose it until after this point) is schedule drives for nap time and rock or feed her to sleep then transfer to the car and pray she stays asleep as she can't fall asleep on her own in the car. Changing to a convertible car seat has also helped a bit sometimes she is okay for a short while if I am sat next to her but obviously can't do that for every drive. It's so tough just praying she grows out of it at some point,

We had similar and changing car seats was the biggest difference. The seat we changed to was higher at the window, stopped her from looking so sunken into the seat and she genuinely looked happier. The happy song also helped 😂
