So my daughter is now two months old and about 14days old, she was five weeks early, so any way I was told by my last HV appointment she should start smiling, I was like ok but in her own time, I know babies will do things in their own time, last week I began to notice her trying to smile and yesterday I leaned over her cot to give her a morning kis and she smiled at me and fell asleep, when she was a awake she smiled at me while I dressed her, this morning she smiled again and tired to get photos, these are her smiling aren't they, I was letting her do in her own time but I didn't know if premature babies have some catching up to do because they are premature but please tell the truth is she starting to smile

yes she is learning how to smile now, premature babies can be delayed however some can be advanced for their age or right on time. My son was born 37+0 got told he would be behind and he’s right on track for his corrected age x

She is so precious!! That looks like a smile to me ☺️ mine was around 2 months old when she smiled was born at 41 weeks. Now she is a little giggle machine at 6 months! Your daughter is doing great ❤️☺️

Aw she is adorable! My 2nd was 3 weeks early and I was told the same thing. She properly started smiling at 11 weeks, whereas my 1st starting smiling at 8 weeks, so HV was correct for us, however all babies are different, and yours probably couldn't wait to give you that gummy smile ❤️
