What has worked for a 4 year old to stop putting stuff in his mouth. It used to be small stuff and I would take it worried he’d swallow and now it’s whatever he wants to put everything in his mouth. He’s level 2 autistic. I thought I was done with this phase but he’s doing this at this age I have no idea why I’m tired of it. When is this going to go away he knows he’s not supposed to put anything in his mouth but he doesn’t listen to me or my bf. He was putting blocks in his mouth today. And now his 2 year old bother is doing it because he sees his older brother do it and he also sees the attention his brother gets from it. I can’t believe I have to worry about this again it used to be when they were babies but nope I cleaned out his toy box today worried any little thing he could put in his mouth but he still out the dumb blocks in his mouth.
Any tips ?? What made your kid stop doing it?

I bought my kid sensory necklaces. Anytime I would see her putting toys in her mouth I would redirect her to chew on her necklace instead. It worked and now she doesn’t wear them anymore. Amazon has them.
