I’m being emergency induced at 39+4 weeks pregnant for the size of my babies head 🤣

So his head is on the larger side, has been for weeks. I’ve been told if he stays inside cooking, it could get even bigger. His head isn’t and probably won’t engage to start natural labour because it’s so big 🤣 I just feel like…that’s an absolute hilarious thing to tell him when he’s older hahaha and I feel very immature about it. He’s completely healthy otherwise.

Anyway, they did say it could end in a c-section because it might get stuck or completely tear me to shreds, which I’m more scared of a c-section which is why I’ve opted for the induction, has this ever happened to anyone else? My first was easy, I had no issues whatsoever. This one seems a lot scarier 🥲 not to mention my family aren’t supporting me as much as they were before they knew I was being induced, my SIL is due via c-section on 1st September, and they’ve all been saying how my son will be born on the same day as him or after, but now that he’s coming this week…they have been distant and their energy has switched up massively. No excitement, no joy, like nothing they would usually be saying/doing. Almost like I’ve just told them the weather and they’ve nodded along and said oh….

I had a big head and so did my husband so we knew my son would, too. However, I told myself that since I have a big head my body was made to birth a baby with a big head. He didn't need induction to get started so can't speak to that, and not sure if this applies to you but that mantra helped me!

Is your induction happening today? Do you feel good about it? If you feel good about it then that’s what matters

I had an emergency induction due to pre eclampsia, walked into my regular OB appointment and was sent to the hospital to be induced. I was told to not even go home to grab my stuff. It was stressful because it was not expected but the actual induction wasn’t bad. My baby did get stuck which was scary. the induction and labor process up until 8/9cm that wasn’t bad at all though. No c section needed

After I gave birth I have things bulging out of my vagina ! My doctor said it’s normal most women that have birth vaginas look like that but she recommended I do some kegel exercises and not worry about it , but I can’t help it

Did u have the same experience?

4lb baby

I’m due to have a planned c-section at 38+1 due to intrauterine growth restriction (I’ve had many complications with my placenta but luckily he’s managed to hold on in there until 38 weeks!) however my placenta is worsening and he’s dropped to the 2nd centile and his weight is currently only 3.9lb (I know their measurements can be off).

I’m wanting to know if anyone has had a teeny tiny but full term baby and whether they needed extra support in the hospital? My understanding is he may need help with his feeding & body temp - I’m hoping not breathing. I’ve been warned he may need an NG tube. I’m very open to all of this support but would just like to hear if other people have been in this position and if so, what did it look like for you & how long were you in the hospital for? 👶🏼

Hospital bag…

I’m 32 weeks today and starting to get my head around packing a hospital bag ready again… where has the time gone!
My son is 20 months, so I should remember everything I packed the last time, but my mind is pretty much blank… I’m guessing baby brain!
Any ideas or top packs? I know the one thing I was thankful for was my hand held fan. (Hoping if things go to plan, it will be a planned C section again due to my health conditions.)

Thoughts on name

I personally really like the name Wilfred nn Wilf/Freddie and my husband is on board as well

I want it to wear well throughout their life… thoughts on if it’s a strong name, is it ‘mockable’ in anyway ??
