What would you do

My friend comes over with her kids and just lets them trash my house, they dont listen at all. I have 3 under 4 and they dont act that way. Her kid is 9 and running across my sofa, throwing big toys in the air letting them crash to the floor. The 7 year old keeps trying to hurt the baby and not listening to anything. They pull out every drae and cupboard. Went in my fridge n threw food everywhere in my kitchen, dining room and front room and I have had enough. She asked me to watch them yesterday and they spent 6 hours trashing my house and breaking things in repeat. Today they were here for 6 hours even though I said i had a lot on today. They live so close I cannot avoid. Her child also pulled a shelf off the wall. Tried to open the front door to let my toddler out because its "funny" and drew on my childs bed with pens i didnt give to her. I actually want to uproot my whole family and move house at this point. This is not just weekdays but evenings unexpected and weekends and if i am busy them well I cant be apparently.... overwhelmed ... stressed is an understatement

I would talk to her about it. Let her know what was damaged and how it made you feel. I wouldn't shame her as a mother because I don't think that will help but I would not just ignore someone. Set expectations and if she doesn't want to do that then end the friendship.

If she asks you to watch the kids I would either say you cannot watch them any more it is too much or explain their behaviour is not ok and explain what they have been doing. Also it's teaching your kids a bad example. If she is there and let's her kids do it there is no respect for you at all. I would keep my distance from her as she can't care if she is letting them do it. If they don't listen to her she should leave not let them keep going!

If she knows they're doing it that's a whole other issue. From reading i presume she doesn't know? I'd definitely tell her what has been going on, say that this isn't acceptable and if it carries on you won't be able to watch them at your house in the future. Hopefully that'll be enough to help the situation.

Also, does she return the favour and watch your kids if needed? If a lot of trips are last minute it sounds a lot like she's using your friendship for convenience. If there's never a trade off or a social where you're both involved and its just around you watching her kids then that isn't a friendship...

Have a chat with her about it

She’s not your friend. She just sees you as a free babysitter.

I don’t care if this woman lived next door to you, you need to stop being such a pushover and learn to stand up for yourself. From the first time that shit went down I would have called her to come back ASAP and pick up her kids and if she refused to, your next phone call would be to the police and social services that she had dumped/abandoned her kids.

These kind of people are pisstakers of the highest order. Give them an inch and they’ll take a mile. Because you’ve been such a pushover in the past, she knows you won’t say anything therefore she keeps lumbering them on you.

I would send her one message or tell her to her face why you refuse to babysit due to her kids behaviour and then block. If she turns up at your doorstep ask her what she wants. If it’s anything to do with her kids, just say no and close the door. You need to show her you have a backbone and she can’t walk over you anymore.

The first time i bought it to her attention she was like what kind of mother cant cope with small children and i said excuse me i can cope but theres only so much you can redirect someone elses child and its different too. She said she told them off but now i am seeing it more clearly... they are wild and left to be. I have been a pushover and i feel uoset i let myself get so deep into it.

I actually feel like a horrible person saying it all on here too :(

I end a friendship for less than that honestly. It seems like she doesn't respect you or your place...

I would end the friendship, especially if her kids are harming your children or putting them in dangerous situations.

Child care cost UK

4 days a week, 1 child is around £1500.

With 30 hours government assistance for working parents. We pay £850.

I couldn't figure out why for the past year I have felt broke all the time.

It just hit me today, it's these darn nursery fees.

If you work a 9 to 5 and send your kid to nursery in the UK are your feed similar or am I over paying?

It's crazy to think you go to work, to pay for someone to look after your child.

Am i being unreasonable?

So, my little girl is almost 16 months old. I split up from her dad when she was around 4 months old. He has been having her overnight at his parents every weekend but i have told him that i would occasionally like to have her on the weekends so i can do enjoyable things with her? He doesnt seem to do much with her apart from going to the local park and staying in the house so i just feel a but bad about her missing out on fun things?
Whenever i do tell him that id like to have her on a certain weekend, he tends to start an argument and threaten me with mediation sessions?
However i feel like allowing my 1 year old to stay away from me every weekend is generous of me? Its only that perhaps once a month id like to have her om a weekend day? He only wants to have her both saturday and sunday as he lives an hour away and thinks its too much driving just to spend one day with her?
Am i being unreasonable for occasionally wanting to have my daughter on a weekend?

Is he trying to stop me from going out /is this normal

So I go out probably once or r twice a month not every month. Now at first my partner (boyfriend ) would say he doesn’t want me leaving to go out after 11pm which was crazy because 30+ chances are they usually start late. Then he says he doesn’t want me out past 2 am then he says the door will be locked 5am (usually back by then so that’s ridiculous) it just sounds like he doesn’t want me to go out

I swear Imma lose some brain cells

So I just left my 36 week appointment and I updated my sons father. After I told him how the appointment went, he gone say we need to talk.
I told him I can’t do it next week because I have college classes next week and work so I’ll be busy. He proceeded to ask me how I’m going to do this when I’m about to have our son.
I told him just because I’m having our son doesn’t mean I’m not going to stop going to school. He then proceeded to say how’s he going to have our son but how am I going to manage all this.
I said that it’s not going to be just him watching him and it’s going to be my mom or one of my sisters too and he then said no it’s going to be just him so I doubled down and said no it’s going to be my mom or my sisters as well. I’m guessing I pissed him off because he looked at it and didn’t respond
