WWYD?

My daughter is turning 15 soon her dad’s side is more cultural, and they will be throwing her a quinceanera.
For backstory when my ex was with his girlfriend, I was not invited now that him and her are not together anymore. Only I’m invited but not my husband. Me and her father have not been together for the last seven years, but he refuses to be cordial with my husband.
At first, I said well if husband’s not invited then I will not be attending but after my daughter told me she really wants me there now I’m feeling stuck. I doubt my ex will change his mind about inviting my husband and I don’t want my husband to feel left out.
My only problem is me and my husband talked about me possibly going. He has super mixed feelings about it. He said, of course I want you to be there to support our daughter but at the same time I feel hurt and I can’t stand the thought of you all “playing house” that threw me off because I’m there for her it has nothing to do with my ex .
Like we’re obviously gonna do something for her on our side, but it just sucks that my ex refuses to be cordial. My daughter even says she wants her stepdad there, but her dad will say no again. I think it’s important that her family, both sides attend and be there to celebrate her becoming a woman. Any insights would be greatly appreciated.

honestly you should go but obviously keep a safe distance from your ex to support your daughter since it is a big deal in latin culture but also you’d be going to support your daughter and make her comfortable you’re not going there for your ex to “play house”
