Do you let your kids watch YouTube kids? My kid is 5 and we let him at first, but have since stopped since it seems to be very addictive.

Literally just had this same conversation with partner. He loves YouTube for himself and has since introduced it to our kids. I told him it’s not good for their behavior overall and advertises it’s for kids but the shows they have appear for “kids” even with controls are not for their age group in my opinion. He agreed and it’ll only be when dad plays YouTube for them while I cook dinner and what he selects to watch like old movies from his childhood or songs. There’s some decent stuff like teaching animals etc but I prefer pbs kids especially if it’s not a constant monitor and you’re actively watching them and what is being watched.

My son used to be super into ms Rachel but I’ve decreased YouTube and now he’s not interested in any kind of screen time. I wish he was lowkey because I need a break.

Neither kids have ever watched YouTube kids. My son sometimes wants to watch videos of trains though.

Yes but I never would let them do it alone. Only when I’m sitting with them because it has some weird stuff

We have an account on the tv but have locked it fully down through settings. She cannot search, she can only see the approved 4/5 channels we have allowed and that’s it. I don’t have to worry, she cannot see all the trash on there only what we allow.
