Hi everyone,
My baby is 11 weeks old. Since she was roughly 6 weeks she started grabbing my hair.
It was in a tight, boring ponytail from the start, for exactly this reason, so she shouldn’t be able to access it.
But I have quite long hair, reaches the bottom of my back, and no hair tie seems strong enough to keep the ponytail in place.
My ponytail becomes a tangled mess in 5 minutes, then I put my baby on my shoulder and she grabs bits of it.
Needless to say I also feel ugly with a messy ponytail with so many baby hairs sticking out this postpartum.
I feel like only braiding would somehow solve this issue, but it takes a long time for me and I’m exhausted.
Buns never worked for me, my hair is so heavy / long.
What do you do to avoid your baby accessing / grabbing your hair?
I see so many women on social media with their hair down and their babies magically don’t grab it. How?!
