Vent

Getting so fed up. I pray every day and ask God to soften my heart, give me patience and love. My SD gives me a run for it everyday. She is so uncooperative, always has a rebellious attitude, never wants to go with the flow. Only time she is nice and sweet is when I’m feeding her, then it’s always “yes ma’am, thank you” fights with me when I ask her to bathe, still wets the bed.. fights to put on under night pants, fights to get up for school in the morning, she is a bigger girl, so if I’m asking her to walk to the restroom or just move from the bed to the sink… she will just stand there, like a stone wall and not move, like literally for as long as I will let her stand there.. I let her stay there one time to see how long she could hold it, and she literally stood in place for 5 minutes.. just staring not moving/talking nothing. I ask her to lay down, she won’t lay down..she will just sit up in the bed and stare at the wall. In the past I have had to physically lay her down, but as she is getting older I have vowed to not put my hands on her anymore because I’m not trying to make her hate me. But I am a mom that will give a lil pop-pop as a way of discipline. Sometimes she won’t act right until after a spanking from dad(but it only last for a day or so). But as I said.. she is a bigger girl at 8 almost 9 yrs old. And we are looking to discipline her differently than how it was when we were younger. We don’t want to spank or be physical, but that gentle parenting can really have u frustrated burning up inside. I am at a loss with her. I’m so scared it’s only gonna get worse.
