With my first baby I had trapped gas and the pain was unbearable. A week later I still hadn’t pooed.
My MIL in law came over one night and made spag Bol and that seemed to do the trick! Might be worth a go? 😅

Peppermint tea / fennel tea is good, helps relax your digestive tract.
I had those daily and for both my planned c sections and worked a treat for me that I barely had any trapped wind.

Two kiwis on empty stomach every morning, buscopan, chewing gum, plenty of liquids, and when you need to go Don't hold it in 🤣💓

I am 11 days post section and I find peeing and pooping painful. Like sharp pain when trying to go. I had this with my first section too. No tips, just here in solidarity :p
months of prepping for a water birth and i ended up having to be induced then an emergency c section since baby boy decided he didn't want to come anymore😂 im only 16 days pp but since coming home i've been constantly up and moving about. i don't think i've processed how traumatic the birth was yet since my family and partner haven't really sympathised with what i went through at all
any tips or advice for coping ? should i even bother with talking therapies?

I had an attempt at a sweep yesterday afternoon but my cervix was fully closed so midwife couldn’t perform it.
Since then I’ve been very crampy. Does cramping mean the cervix is softening?
Has anyone has a failed sweep that lead to cramping that turned into spontaneous labour?

Any tips you ladies have for relaxing?

Hi Ladies!
I’ve been diagnosed with GD never had it in my first pregnancy- does anyone have any advice?

Unfortunately my care pathway has changed as my midwife is going to be on vacation for the rest of my pregnancy (to be clear this does NOT bother me, well deserved). And sadly there are no midwife appointments available at my GP, so I have to go to a children's center. The only thing I'm worried about is privacy, as I have attended baby massage classes there and it's just a big open room and I don't remember there being any other private rooms there. I'm worried about how they will do any checks, measurements or even sweeps (if offered). Wondering if any other UK Mums had this happen?

Has anyone else with a history of Gestational diabetes refused the 3 hour class?
It’s my 2nd pregnancy, i’ve refused it (as is my right to do) and the diabetic midwife has told me she will not be arranging for me to have a monitor to track my blood sugars until i attend the class. I told her i don’t have the availability next week to attend a 3 hour class, my son is autistic and i don’t have childcare, she only offered to rebook for September. So they’re leaving me weeks unmonitored (i was diagnosed around 9 weeks pregnant, i’ll be 16 by the time the next class is.)
Surely it’s my right to choose whether or not i attend the class. I’m not refusing GD management treatment, i am simply refusing the class. I’m not interested in attending a 3 hour class where they dump all the pregnant ladies in one room because its cheaper and more convenient for the NHS. A class where they offer education on information i already know about, because this is not my first time. The only thing different is now they do app logging instead of paper logging. For that i have to attend a 3 hour class where they discuss colostrum harvesting?🙃🙃🙃 but if i don’t go they won’t provide the monitor or prescription for the needles needed to track my sugars. How is that okay?
Im just at a loss now
