My son has recently been very prone to meltdowns in public places. Does anyone have any advice or tips that they have found at work for how to handle these? I’m a single mom and get very overwhelmed and I start to shut down recently so any tips because obviously reasoning with him doesn’t work when he’s mid meltdown. A lot of his meltdowns come from not wanting to leave places like parks and museums when it’s time to go that’s the biggest Karpoori I’ve found so far.

my girl also gets very upset leaving parks etc and has meltdowns. we give her a 10 and 5 minute warning and then tell her it’s time to go and tell her that we can go back soon since she had so much fun but that it’s time to go now. if she starts crying i ask her if she’s sad because we need to leave and she usually will respond with yes through her tears. then i ask her if she wants a hug and that usually fixes it. finally i’ll tell her that when she gets home we are going to play with x or that she gets an treat because she played so well at the playground with all the other kids there. she loves ice pops and tractor wheel cookies so we’ll ask her if she wants a pop or a cookie. having a conversation through her tears after we validate how she is feeling usually distracts her pretty well and then she focuses on other things like toys or treats at home that she’s going to play with/ get when we are home.
My little one has started touching his downstairs every-time I change his nappy 🙈 he pulls it. Anyone else experiencing this?

I am waiting for my daughter to be 6 months to start a sleep training method. Currently, she only does naps on me and nights are divided into two where my husband keeps her until 10:30-11:30 (she sleeps on him) and then we co-sleep. I am not sleeping obviously since she eats often or wakes up because she wants comfort🙃.
Any advice? What did you do? What do you recommend?
She’s extremely attached to both of us and we tried the cry out method when she hit the 4month regression and it was HORRIBLE. I cried with her, she was way too young. She’s 5 months now and we’re going on a trip but as soon as we’re back, for my sanity we need to do something about it🥲.

Can anyone recommend a really good absorbent nappy? My little one is 7m old and is a belly sleeper, I’m having to change his pyjamas and bedding every morning as he is totally saturated!
I initially used Asda little angels nappies but switched to pampers baby dry recently to see if they were any better, he is still leaking with those too. I have also tried adding a nappy liner into the front over night for extra protection but he is still wetting through.
Just for reference he is a big boy and in size 6/7 nappies he weighs over 30lb 🐷 I struggle to get nappies to fit around his belly, he has a bigger than average belly as well.
All of the ‘night time nappies’ in the shops are for older babies/ toddlers and are pull ups, but as I said my boy is big.. should I try these??
TIA from my laundry basket lmao xox
Edit: have weighed him and he is 26lb 🤣🤦🏼♀️

Weird question but I don’t know if anyone else has this happening to them, but I noticed when I get ready to breast-feed my son I’ll squeeze my nipples and there’s milk coming out of the Ariola that’s around it has anyone else had that happen?

Has anyone been away from their baby for a few days yet? I’m still breastfeeding and have started solids but have a short trip booked at start of October and feel so anxious about it. This is my third baby and I know she’ll be fine with her Dad but we feed through the night still and I’m just not really sure how to manage that change. I also don’t want it to put an end to breastfeeding for once I’m back either. My plan is to pump while I’m away to keep supply up. Any advice appreciated 🩷

Any and all tips welcome.
My child hates bedtime. We have a routine and every night it takes over an hour to put her to sleep.
I’ve stopped rocking her (she’s heavy and I can’t make it work for longer than 15 minutes) so now I’m singing the same song over and over again and rubbing her back. Admittedly, it’s frustrating and I dread it every night. We tried sleep training and she threw up all over herself and cried so hard. It broke my heart and since then we have been laying her in bed, singing softly, and rubbing her back. I would love any tips on how to help her sleep independently without crying it out!
Thank you 😊
