Autism assessment 2.5year olds- 36month waiting time

My son is 2.5 year old. He hasn't has his autism assessment yet. He was accepted in February 2026 to be on the waiting list. I rang up today and there's a 36months waiting time. Anyone else experience this?

My daughter is still waiting 4 years later each area different tho I ended paying privately for my daughter she been on the wait list since she 18 months old and she 6 in October cxx
