Hey, I was wondering if there are any mums out there whose baby turned breech at around 36 weeks and who were offered an ECV procedure?
I was very surprised to find out that my baby has turned breech, and I’ve been booked in for an ECV. So far, I haven’t had much explanation about the procedure, so naturally I turned to the internet to try to understand what it involves. I’m now hearing stories about it being successful only around half the time and about it being quite painful, which has made me a little nervous.
Are there any mamas here who have had an ECV, or who had a breech baby at 36 weeks that then naturally turned head down afterwards? Any reassurance would be greatly appreciated, but I’m also happy to hear the less positive experiences if that was your experience. ❤️

I planned a home birth with my first, unfortunately she was breech and stuck in the same position for over 12 weeks. Tried and ECV which was extremely uncomfortable and unsuccessful, she was my first baby though and they have higher success rate if you've had previous pregnancy, I also had a very strong core the first time around. Look up spinning babies exercises and also moxibustion. You always have the option of a vaginal breech birth in the hospital which is what I tried for, but unfortunately I only got to 5cm dilated and ended in a section. Highly recommend looking at Breech without Borders on Instagram x
months of prepping for a water birth and i ended up having to be induced then an emergency c section since baby boy decided he didn't want to come anymore😂 im only 16 days pp but since coming home i've been constantly up and moving about. i don't think i've processed how traumatic the birth was yet since my family and partner haven't really sympathised with what i went through at all
any tips or advice for coping ? should i even bother with talking therapies?

I had an attempt at a sweep yesterday afternoon but my cervix was fully closed so midwife couldn’t perform it.
Since then I’ve been very crampy. Does cramping mean the cervix is softening?
Has anyone has a failed sweep that lead to cramping that turned into spontaneous labour?

Hello all,
(12w1d here)
I recently downloaded the app because my parter said it will be better for my mood.
I’m felling quite stressed, no energy to talk a part from work. I’m not calling anymore to my friends or family, I do not even have patience or energy to reply their messages. It’s makes me feel bed about it, because I’m not like that.
Has anyone been through this?
❤️ thank you

Has anyone else with a history of Gestational diabetes refused the 3 hour class?
It’s my 2nd pregnancy, i’ve refused it (as is my right to do) and the diabetic midwife has told me she will not be arranging for me to have a monitor to track my blood sugars until i attend the class. I told her i don’t have the availability next week to attend a 3 hour class, my son is autistic and i don’t have childcare, she only offered to rebook for September. So they’re leaving me weeks unmonitored (i was diagnosed around 9 weeks pregnant, i’ll be 16 by the time the next class is.)
Surely it’s my right to choose whether or not i attend the class. I’m not refusing GD management treatment, i am simply refusing the class. I’m not interested in attending a 3 hour class where they dump all the pregnant ladies in one room because its cheaper and more convenient for the NHS. A class where they offer education on information i already know about, because this is not my first time. The only thing different is now they do app logging instead of paper logging. For that i have to attend a 3 hour class where they discuss colostrum harvesting?🙃🙃🙃 but if i don’t go they won’t provide the monitor or prescription for the needles needed to track my sugars. How is that okay?
Im just at a loss now
