My partner has always had a dog allergy, and while it was managable the first few years we were dating it has progressively gotten worse and now he can’t interact with a dog without a sneezing fit.
I’ve always had dogs growing up. Throughout my childhood we’ve had 3 labradors, all lived to be 16+ so I feel like we took pretty good care of them, the last one passed unfortunately less than a month before my oldest was born. I always imagined raising my kids with dogs. It seemed natural to me. Now my oldest is approaching 3 hes showing signs of an allergy to cats, so that’s another animal we’re unable to have. I guess I’m selfishly really upset I’ll never get to own and love a dog like I always imagined I would.
My mother in law bought a hypoallergenic dog hoping that would be the answer to our problems, but my partner is allergic to that too! Anyone got any ideas or advice on what could potentially help?

There is a shot you can take that can cure pet allergies. It’s a real commitment though. 1-2 shots a week in the beginning. Then 1–2 shots a month for 3-5 years.
Also assume it’s not free, but honestly not sure.

I have an animal fur allergy. It's worse for cats mice rats ect. But staffie fur has always been worse out of the dog breeds. I used to take antihistamines regularly when I met my partner because he has two dogs. Both staffies. It's not actually the fur your allergic too. It's bodily fluids and the hair just transfers them. Lots of baths and not letting the dogs lick themselves helps. And I now sleep in bed with them without reacting. I used to get a reaction even if it just sat next to someone with fur on them
