Hey! Starting by saying I get married next year, I have a 2 year old and I’ve been with my fiance for 9 years. We seem to be going through a rough patch, he’s questioning if we are too different as he enjoys going out drinking and doing other things take of that what you will.. yet I’m deffo a home girl who couldn’t think of anything worse. Part of me feels like maybe I’m not enough? The other part is like… well if he goes out and does his thing not around us etc then surely that’s okay. He only goes out max once a month.. I just wondered if anyone else had any experience of being two totally different people but still making it work. I adore this man and want it to work but just made me doubt it all😩😩😩😩

My husband and I got married after 9 years. We're very different, but in the opposite way. I like to go out to restaurants and for a drink and hang with friends. He likes to stay at home, except for the odd concert, which I hate to go to. I had the same question but he likes that we're different. He says we go together because we're different.
Ultimately I found friends that fill my needs and he did the same. We come home to each other, and we don't spend all of our time with each other. Obviously that's shifted a bit since we have a kiddo, but it also makes us a good parenting team.
I think it's great and it works for us, but my brother married someone largely like himself and that seems to work for him too. I don't think there's a right answer here it's just how you approach the situation and how you solve problems as a team.
You are always enough - don't ever let anyone make you question that. Especially a man. They're idiots.
