The father of my kids does not wash. Currently it's been at least 2 weeks maybe longer. I bathe twice a day especially needed since it's been a hot summer. He does not sleep in my bed thankfully but when he did this was a problem on my sheets and blankets too. The last two years or so he's slept in the living room on the recliner. We had a worn pleather recliner until early this year that had a slip cover. I washed that cover 3-4 times a week because it was horrible. This was very annoying because it's hard to take off/put back on and I don't need an extra job. we bought a new recliner this year. The cover doesn't fit because it's a bit smaller. Also the cover was in poor repair from extremely frequently washing. The new chair has a horrible odor. I worked 2.5 hours on it recently with the little green machine and it is not clean enough. Smells some better but not good enough for anyone to sit on. This morning we are having a babysitter coming so we can have a date because our relationship is not very good. He is in bed the babysitter will be here in an hour. He's not bathed. He needs to be incredibly badly. The chair is horribly dirty from him sleeping on it last night. I've been scrubbing it with soap and a brush because I cannot allow a babysitter to see it. I'm ashamed of what he thinks is acceptable in our home and his body. How can I get this chair clean enough? I guess I'm going to have to get some much stronger soap and use the little green more and maybe a new slip cover? Idk

Gross. But also yes. I bribe mine to get him to bathe even semi regularly. He smokes too and that smell clings to him at all times. No advice just solidarity.

My ex was extremely overweight, and did the same thing (not shower, sleep on the furniture). I just couldn’t anymore. My current partner showers every single morning and I’ve never been so grateful for a man who can see his toes and keep his hygiene at peak.
No advice, because I left after a decade but just know that I know how you feel.. and I don’t wish it upon anybody.

I have no advice, but that is not healthy and really not a good example for the kids. Is there a reason why he doesn’t want to wash? Have you spoke to him about it?
Had my daughter 9 weeks ago and I’m not sure why i feel like my son who is 2 keeps on annoying me and i just want him out of the way and all i can think about is my life without him .. he has autism and makes everything so much harder and I’m 22 trying to juggle all of this i feel crazy i had such a strong bond with my son when i was pregnant but after i have started to feel like i kind of don’t like him and wish he just wasn’t around me has anyone experienced this problem please i feel crazy and horrible i love my son but i just don’t understand why i feel like this

At what age do contact naps become less regular? Don’t get me wrong, I love how serene he looks and love that he feels safest with me and 75% of the time it’s actually nice to just sit down with him and enjoy the moment. However, there are some days where I just feel a little drained from the constant-ness of it and I feel like I’m trying to get things done/look after my needs in his wake windows when he’s happy to go in his chair and watch me but then feel terrible for the lack of interaction with him where he’s my sole focus and tummy time, etc.

Morning everyone! Just wondering what a typical day looks like for you? How often is your baby on a play mat or in a bouncer etc?
I'm not really sure what my wake windows should look like and how long she should spend in my arms or on her play mat etc Per wake window / day.

How are we doing naps? Wake windows? Sleepy cue? Rocking? Feeding? Dark room? Bright room?

Hey everyone! I wonder whether I can get some people’s opinions on nursing chairs.. Are they worth it? Do you actually use them? ☺️

I need help and I need help fast. I am struggling mentally so badly.
My 14 month old is going to bed at 7pm every night and wakes around 10pm, 1pm which I cannot settle him without a bottle so he’ll have the bottle (cows milk) then go back to sleep.
He wakes up around 4am, I have tried more milk to see if he’ll go back to sleep but he won’t.
I am completely exhausted and drained and mentally broken trying to understand what im doing so wrong. I’m the one doing all feeds and wake ups as baby dad is pure useless.
Baby has 2 naps per day totalling 2 hours as a whole. I’ve tried cutting his naps down but him himself is also shattered from such a broken night.
I am NOT here to be judged, if you’re going to be a Karen do it on your own life, I need help and that’s all please x
