Return to work and nursery

Just wondering if anyone returning to work isn’t about to drop and pick up from nursery and there partner has to do it. I return to work in 4 weeks and my boss won’t let me go in late and leave early to drop and pick up my child and has told me my partner can do it. This is really upsetting for me as I’m sure you can imagine that I won’t be there to pick up and drop off. I have to commute to work

Bit rude for your boss to say that, clearly doesn't understand the importance of being there. I would try and ask if you could do
longer days to allow you to have the chance to do drop offs and pick ups x

My husband does all the nursery drop offs and pick ups. We chose a nursery close to his work for this reason as he has a shorter commute than me so our daughter won’t be at nursery for as long. The first few days felt a bit emotional but I quickly got used to it. He’s her dad, so it’s not like I’ve left her with some random person to do it…

You can apply for reasonable adjustments for work.
How does your boss know your partner can accomodate it? Imagine if his boss said the same !?

Me and my husband share nursery. I mostly take and collect but sometimes he can take if he's working from home for example.
Baby goes in for 8am and I start work at 9
