Sorry for the house rant
To anyone moving house right now.
Would you think it to be rude if you made an offer on a house (a very good offer, practically asking price) but then didn’t get a phone call back from the estate agent to at least update you on the situation?
Like we get people need time to think but just tell us. Now it’s the weekend and the office is closed so we’re left wondering.
I think it’s a bit poor form, even if they’ve not been able to get hold of the owner the estate agents could have updated us just to say they’re still waiting on an answer. I could have then just chilled out and forgot about it until Monday but to be left “unread” so to speak feels sorta insulting.
It’s such a lot of money you’re attempting to hand over it’s hard not to get annoyed tbh.
Or am I being way too sensitive about it???

From my experience and the experiences of my family, estate agents are just scumbags. Minimal effort at all times, they don’t care at all about your feelings or professionalism. It’s all about the money to them and after 5pm they dgaf.
