Screaming baby

My little boy is 4 months coming up to 5 and he has recently started screaming before every nap. I’m talking bright red, sweaty, ear piercing scream. Why is he doing this? Is it normal? Cos he is driving me mad and I dread nap time as it’s a fight

It could be multiple of things, he could be uncomfortable check if nappy needs changing or needs burping. Might be the fact he’s really tired and fighting his naps, or could still be hungry. Or constipated. If you are worried see if you can get an appointment with his GP

possibly colic and everyone says stick by the wake windows but i fully believe every baby is different. if my baby fights her nap i keep her up a little longer let her build sleep pressure.

Can tell he’s tired cos I put him down and he starts to fall asleep and then he just screams, even after feeding, winding and nappy changing. It’s like he just doesn’t want to sleep even though he’s tired if that makes sense

A lot of babies go through a sleep regression at this age!

Swaddling never last long😂, swaddling only worked for a week with my little girl. Could try white noise there’s a playlist on Spotify called white noise baby sleep that might work. Does your boy like to move about while sleeping

Could it be reflux? I’m only thinking that because naps = laying down flat making it easier for acid to come up. Especially if he gets a bottle before nap time xx

My LO does similar and for us it is him using up / burning his last little bit of energy before he goes to sleep. I was getting so upset too but now I see it as a cue that he is very close to falling asleep and continue with how I’m trying to settle him. Sorry if it sounds different to what you’re experiencing x
