Letting night nanny co-sleep with your baby?

I am going back to work so we are putting in place arrangements for a night nanny 3 days a week.

My baby is going through regression and would want to be hold through the night.

Would you be comfortable letting your baby co-sleep with night nanny?

I'm normally not against co sleeping, but I feel like for me, I know how in tune I am with my child and I'm a super light sleeper and always breastfed (one of the safe sleep 7). I can't imagine a night nanny can provide the same. No breastfeeding and not the same hormones, oxytocine(?) and connection. Plus I assume you're paying her mostly to be up with baby?

No I would expect a night nanny to be awake for their shift. It's what I'm paying them for.

Yes, the night nanny should stay awake and hold baby if that’s what is needed. But generally they are very good at getting babies to sleep, so I expect they will be able to, and get some sleep themselves for some if the night.

No, you’re biologically in tune with your baby so you can safely sleep with them. A night nanny should be awake for her shift and definitely not sleep in the bed with the baby (I’m a nanny and would never suggest such a thing to a parent)
